'A Recipe for Success' cook book for the Canberra Southern Cross Club
I recently produced a cookbook, 'A Recipe for Success', to commemorate the golden anniversary of the Canberra Southern Cross Club.
The recipe book began with an introduction from Canberra Southern Cross Club CEO, Ian Mackay, and introduced the featured chefs (L-R below) Jojy Vatolly, Alex Kimmorley, Brad Howden, and Pheobe Tarrant.
Next was some history of the Club, which first opened its doors in 1972.
A photo collage was used for this double page spread, showing some of the past and present Club chefs.
The design was simple, classic, and elegant throughout the recipe book.
The recipe book features 25 of the Canberra Southern Cross Club's most loved dishes along with stories and memories behind each dish.
Food photography and styling for the recipes was done by Adam McGrath, with other photos taken by Amanda Kelly, both highly regarded Canberra photographers.
The recipes are beautifully presented throughout, with much care taken to make them easy and accessible for the home cook.
Dessert, my favourite course of any meal! Photos for the entrée, main and dessert spreads were chosen for their mouth watering photography.
Below, two delicious recipes and the stories behind them - Crème Brûlée with Berry Melange and Espresso Parfait.
The recipe book concludes with another full page spread.
Riot ACT Canberra wrote an article about the 'A Recipe for Success' cookbook here and interviewed chef Alex Kimmorley about the recipe book for a video, shown below.
