'A Recipe for Success' cookbook

I recently designed a cookbook, ‘A Recipe for Success’, to commemorate the golden anniversary of the Canberra Southern Cross Club. The recipe book features 25 of the Canberra Southern Cross Club’s most loved dishes along with stories and memories behind each dish.

The recipe book began with an introduction from Canberra Southern Cross Club CEO, Ian Mackay in the first image below. The second image below introduced the featured chefs (L-R below) Jojy Vatolly, Alex Kimmorley, Brad Howden, and Pheobe Tarrant.

Next was some history of the Club, which first opened its doors in 1972.

A photo collage was used for the next double page spread below, featuring some of the past and present Club chefs.

The design was simple, classic, and elegant throughout the recipe book.

The recipes are beautifully presented throughout, with much care taken to make them easy and accessible for the home cook.

Food photography and styling for the recipes was done by Adam McGrath, with other photos taken by Amanda Kelly, both highly regarded Canberra photographers.

Dessert, my favourite course of any meal! Photos for the entrée, main and dessert spreads were chosen for their mouth watering photography.

Below, two delicious recipes and the stories behind them – Crème Brûlée with Berry Melange and Espresso Parfait.

The recipe book concludes with another full page spread.
